vTai was born on September 22, 1959.  Randy's birthday is December 2, 1957.

vWhen they were first paired together, Tai and Randy had to be bribed by their coach to skate together.

vThey were the first pair in the world to successfully land the throw triple salchow.

vTai and Randy received the highest score for a pair ever at the 1979 National Championships.

vIn 1974, they became the youngest pair to represent the United States at the World Championships, at the ages of 14 and 16.

vThey were the first recipients of the Olympic Spirit Award in 1987.

vTai and Randy are the only American pair to win the World Professional Championships in the 25 years since its beginning.

vBoth Tai and Randy competed as single skaters. Randy was the 1974 U.S. Junior Men's Champion and both placed as high as sixth in Senior Nationals.

vTai and Randy were members of the first American teams to go to Russia and China.

vTai and Randy were the second pair to skate in the short program at the 1979 World Championships and still were in first place going into the long program, where they skated last.

vTai's crescent moon necklace was a gift to her from Stevie Nicks.  The only time that she has ever taken it off was the night of the pairs short program at the 1980 Olympic Games.
